Kilrush, a ten minute drive, is a National Heritage Town with many amenities. It is also a Market Town with monthly Fair Days and a Farmers Market on Thursdays and it features all modern supermarkets, boutiques, pubs, galleries and fine restaurants. A short stroll to the foot of Frances Street will bring you to the 120 berth Kilrush Yacht Marina, the only facility of its kind on the West Coast of Ireland. Within the shadow of the marina you will also find the Shannon Dolphin & Wildlife Centre with fun and information for adults as well as children and Dolphin Watching trips, an opportunity not to be missed.

There are excellent sport and leisure facilities nearby, with the Greg Norman designed Golf Course in Doonbeg being most prominent. The spa and restaurants are open to the public and all feature magnificent ocean views. Bird watching, sea angling, fresh water fishing, cliff walking, swimming are just a few of the possibilities available within a short distance. A scenic 40 minute drive will take you to Spanish Point, Lahinch, the Cliffs of Moher, and Ennis, the unofficial ‘Capital of the West’.
